Muslims throughout the world eagerly await the arrival of Imam Mahdi, this is because Imam Mahdi will restore justice and equality in the world, and help to unite the Muslims.  It is therefore not surprising, that many Muslims are perhaps a little impatient with regard to the emergence of Imam Mahdi.

Ayatollah Uzma Sayyid Ali Husaini Sistani

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Husaini Sistani was born on 9th Rabi Al-Awwal 1349 A.H. in the holy city of Mashhad. He was named Ali after his grandfather.

Ayatullah Uzma Husayn Wahid Khurasani

He was born in 1921 in Mashhad. Having finished the literature lessons, he learned the Sotouh stage from the late Ayatullah Haj Shaykh Muhammad Nahawandi, then he attended the lectures of the Kharij stage of the late Ayatullah Mirza Mehdi Isfahani and Ayatullah Ashtiyani.


Ayatullah Uzma Muhammad Taqi Bahjat

He was born in 1334 A.H. (1915 A.D.) in Fuman (Iran). His father Karbala’i Muhammad Bahjat was a trustworthy and reliable personality of that region.
Ayatollah Bahjat finished his primary education in a Maktab School of Fuman.

Ayatullah Uzma Makarim Shiraazi

A prominent theologian in Qom's Seminary who teaches Jurisprudence and its Principles at the higher level. He has compiled many books among them is a well- known exigesis of the Holy Qur'an entitled Nemouneh.


Ayatullah Uzma Saafi Gulpaaigani

Ayatollah Safi was born in Gulpaaygaan on the 19th of Jumadal Awwal 1337 AH (1918). His father was an eminent scholar who has written many famous books.


Ayatullah Uzma Sayyid Musa Shobeiri Zanjani

Sayyid Zanjani was born in 1928 in the city of Qom. He was born into a family known for its religious background. His father, Sayyid Ahmad Zanjani, was a pious and eminent scholar of the Islamic Seminary of Qom.


Ayatullah Shaykh Ja`far Subhani

A distinguished scholar in the Qom Seminary. Besides Jurisprudence and its Principles, he is also famous for his expertise in history and theological studies, and has established a great institute for theological research.


The Four Special Deputies

Due to the severe restrictions imposed by the reigning Caliph, Imam Mahdi (a.s.) was forced to conceal himself from the eyes of the people. In the initial stages of the minor occultation, some very special and selected people among the Shias had the permission to meet their master whenever the need arose. They presented the problems of the Shias in the service of Imam who provided answers to them and conveyed them back to the people.


The Minor Occultation

When Imam Hasan al-'Askari ( a.s.) died, the office of Divine Leadership (Imamate) was transferred to the Last Luminous Pearl of the Household of the Holy Prophet, Imam al-Mahdi (a.s.)
