Imam AL-MAHDI (a-s)

We are the followers of the true and original Islam. We, the Shi’a of the Prophet Muhammad (saww) and his Ahlul-Bayt (a-s), we have in our beliefs and values many different responsibilities and duties. As well as our religious daily duties, we also have many different individual and social duties to perform, all in the goal of closeness and nearness to ALLAH (swt).

MAHDI (AS) IN DIFFERENT AHADITH

Mahdi (AS) is a follower of the Messenger. Therefore, just as the Messenger's invitation (to Islam) is free from any doubts and errors, the one who follows him is free from errors too. Rather, he treads the same path.

MAHDISM IN QUR'ANIC EXEGESIS

The paper attempts to reveal the views of Muslim of scholars with regard to the concept of Mahdism from Sunni and Shiite perspective. On the first part we will discuss the views of Muslim exegetes toward the textual evidences which directly deal with aspects of Mahdism. We will trace it both from etymological and terminological aspect and then see their interpretation pertinent to the underlying concept.

The Era of Imam Mahdi vis a vis the new global order as espoused by the West

We as members of the Global Muslim Ummah, may have to look at different angles as well as from different perspectives if we may arrive at a conclusion. This may not be conclusive for all times, it is our humble effort, so that we may be able to move forward in todays age and leave a legacy for other Muslims to come.

A Discussion Concerning the Mahdi ('a)

The concept of the Mahdi is not just the embodiment of an Islamic doctrine possessing a religious character but rather signifies a universal aspiration of mankind with the variety of its religions and creeds. It represents an innate aspiration through which people, despite the variety of their beliefs and their means of recourse to the Unseen (ghayb), perceive that there is, for all mankind on the earth, a promised day wherein the divine messages with their momentous significance will be fulfilled and their ultimate objective will be realized, bringing the long and arduous human journey through history to its ultimate destination. In fact, the consciousness of this unseen day and the awaited future is not limited to the religious believers in the Unseen (ghayb), but includes others as well, being reflected even in ideologies and creeds most vehement in their rejection of the Unseen and everything that relates to it, such as dialectical materialism. Dialectical materialism, which interprets history in terms of contradictions, believes in a promised day in which all the contradictions would be resolved and peace and harmony will prevail. Similarly, we find that the psychological experience pertaining to this perception of mankind through the course of history, is one of the most widespread of experiences and the most common among individuals.

What does the Holy Quran say about Khalifatullah MahdiAS?

Apart from the ahadith which emphasize on the importance of accepting the MahdiAS and which make clear that one who does not accept becomes a disbeliever, what does the Holy Quran say about this subject?

More on Imam al-Mahdi (AS)

For the believer whose heart has been filled with the love of and belief in Allah (SWT), there is NO hesitance whatsoever in accepting the doctrine of al-Mahdi (AS). For we as believers in Allah (SWT), believe in MANY hidden, unknown, miraculous, and seemingly impossible things that are stated in the Quran. Not only are they stated in the Quran, but a Muslim MUST submit in obedience and BELIEVE in these events. We also believe that Allah (SWT) is capable of ANYTHING and NOTHING is difficult or impossible for Him (SWT) to accomplish. Indeed Allah (SWT) asserts unequivocally that if He (SWT) wanted something, all He (SWT) has to do is to say to it: "Be! and it will be!"

Imam Mahdi in the Holy Quran and other holy books

All of Shiite commentators and some of Sunnite's said that "Righteous Worshipper" (Ebadi al salehoon) is related to Imam Mahdi. According to this Ayah, good news of returning and manifestation of Imam Mahdi and his worldwide government was mentioned in Prophet David's book (Psalms) and other holy books. So believers of those prophets were aware of this subject. As you know most of the holy books except Quran are consider to distortion. Despite these alterations you can find this topic in these books now.

The Future of the Globe: The Mahdavi Perspective in Divine Economics Framework

Whole the nature has been created by the All Mighty Allah; a man is His vice-regent on earth. “Seek the other world by means of what Allah has bestowed upon you, and do not be negligent about your share in this world”. And do good as Allah have done well by you, and do not seek to spread disorder on the earth”. The Holy Qura’n [28:77]. , Islam follows divine guidance on economic activities. Human authority cannot remove these controls imposed by Islam. The prohibition of Rib ‘a, gambling, hoardings, introduction of Zakah, dealing in unlawful goods or services, short sales

The Qur’an and Messianism (Mahdawiyyat)

QUESTION:

Which verse of the Noble Qur’an can be cited regarding the authority (wilayat) of the twelve Imams (peace be upon them) and the just government of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his return) and the supremacy of Islam over the world?
